At SAOLA, sustainability is not just a trend, but the heart of our approach. With our Fall/Winter 2025 collection, we wanted to prove that it is possible to wear eco-friendly sneakers that combine urban style, lasting comfort, and respect for the planet.
Each pair is made from innovative and recycled materials: vegan leather made from grape marc, ethical ZQ Merino wool, recycled PET and even a waterproof membrane made from castor beans. 1. Grape marc, a material with a bright future: vegan leather that is reinventing fashion
What is it?
An innovative plant-based leather made from wine-making residues—grape skins, seeds, and stems.

Because it transforms agricultural waste into a sustainable, durable, and elegant material, ideal for creating vegan and eco-friendly sneakers. In addition to avoiding animal husbandry and toxic tanning, this process reduces the carbon footprint: less CO2, more sustainable style.

2. Castor oil: the natural secret behind our waterproof shoes
What is it?
A waterproof and breathable membrane made from castor oil, a renewable plant with many virtues.

Because it offers an alternative that is free from petroleum and toxic substances. The result: eco-friendly waterproof sneakers that keep your feet dry.
3. Recycled bottles: when plastic becomes an eco-friendly material
What is it?
Textile fibers created from recycled PET bottles, collected and then transformed into a durable and comfortable material.

Cork is lightweight, flexible, and naturally cushioning. Recycled EVA is comfortable and provides bounce. Recycled PU adds strength and flexibility for greater durability. Recycled rubber is grippy and resistant, making use of existing waste.
