Why put on laces when you don't need them?
The Virunga are the must of the summer. Easy to put on, they will bring you incredible comfort of use.Their impeccably clean knit design lets them effortlessly blend into any setting. (work during the week, aperitif in the evening with friends and the beach on the weekend).
Features & materials
Stem :
- Knit: 100% recycled PET (recycled plastic bottles).
- Note that knitting eliminates all material losses in production because we knit to the exact size of the shoe.
- Heel reinforcement: 40% recycled PET / 60% Polyester
- 55% organic cotton / 36% recycled PET / 9% Polyester laces
Outsole:
- Algae (35%) / EVA (put bloom foam logo)
- natural rubber
Insole:
- Cork, Algae (bloom foam) and EVA
Depending on the style, there are two ways to clean your SAOLAs. In both cases, be sure to remove the insoles first.
For these models:
TSAVO - WANAKA KNIT - CANNON KNIT - WANAKA CANVAS - CANNON CANVAS - VIRUNGA, take out the cork insole before machine washing your shoes. Use a gentle cycle and keep the water temperature below 30°C (86°F)
For these models:
WANAKA - WANAKA WATERPROOF - WANAKA WATERPROOF WARM - ALTA VIBRAM – BERGEN (ALL) - CANNON - CANNON WATERPROOF - CANNON KNIT WOOL - TSAVO WOOL - TSAVO WATERPROOF - CANNON LINEN - CANNON VL - SEQUOIA, first, remove the cork insole. Then, wash your shoes by hand using a sponge and mild soap.
To clean your insoles, simply remove them from the shoes and wash gently by hand using a sponge and mild soap

Chaussures très sympas, légères et confortables ! Seul petit regret, elles sont étroites (pour mon pied !) et il faut donc un temps d'adaptation avant qu'elles s'élargissent un peu et deviennent vraiment agréables à porter !

I was so excited to discover Saola. I bought 3 different pairs of shoes because they all seemed just perfect: sustainable, light, comfortable, breathable, nice looking, colourful and you could wash them in the washing machine. What else could you want? But the Virunga gave me 2 big blisters at the back of the heel on each foot after only an hour walk in the city. I wore them with short socks because without socks they don't feel comfortable and rub on the foot. I almost never get blisters and I usually don't have problems with any shoes so I was extremely surprised this happened to me. The other two pairs (Tsavo W and Cannon Knit II W) I bought also seem to rub on the heel and even pull down the socks. I am so disappointed and I don't understand how all these shoes have only 5 star reviews.

Très agréablement surprise par la Virunga. J'avais déjà acheté les Cannon Waterpoof pour cette hiver que j'ai adoré. J'ai commandé la Virunga pour l'été et franchement je suis très satisfaite, elles sont hyper légère et respirante et très confortable pour une marche au long de la côte ! Hâte de les porter dans mes aventures d'été !
