WHAT ARE ECOLOGICAL SHOES?

When we talk about ecological shoes, we're not talking about sneakers made from leaves and seeds, but shoes that respect the planet.

These eco-friendly models are made from eco-designed materials. Our ecological shoes are made from recycled materials such as cork, plastic or from natural resources such as harmful algae that are harvested from lakes.

Choosing to wear ecological shoes is not just a trendy eco-conscious phenomenon but rather an individual or collective awareness that concerns us all. Supporting SAOLA, THE brand committed to the preservation of wildlife, is above all conveying values that affect you as much as we do!

ECO MATERIALS?

In order to make eco-friendly shoes, we had to focus on the source of production; using recycled materials. These materials are mainly recycled plastic bottles , cork, organic cotton and seaweed.

Making eco-friendly sneakers is not a very simple process because we had to go in search of many materials, each more eccentric than the other. Who would have thought that cork could be found at the bottom of our shoes rather than in a bottle of wine?!

Ecological materials allow our shoes to guarantee exceptional breathability and durability. Broadly speaking, these materials degrade very slowly in the environment so rather than throwing your McDonalds coke in a ditch on the road, you might as well make shoes out of them. We're sure your wardrobe is probably already too full, but we're also sure you don't have many clothes with a real story and a strong commitment to the environment. We want to break the rules through our eco-friendly and responsible sneakers. All SAOLA models have been designed to be worn in any situation, whether to go to work or on a trip. Light thanks to the recycled materials used and flexible to be as easy to store as possible, they can very easily be taken in a bag to go on the go! Within SAOLA, we are not eco-hipsters but rather nature lovers and we are committed to better respecting it.

MY IMPACT ON THE ENVIRONMENT!

Through ecological shoes, you will finally be able to highlight your commitment to preserving the environment! We are implementing concrete actions so that you can measure the impact you have on the environment thanks to your ethical shoes. 1% of our turnover is donated to the Mwalua Wildlife Trust association which supports local populations and neighboring wildlife. And since we don't do things halfway, our shoes are vegan. Wearing SAOLA ecological shoes on your feet means above all taking a step forward and making things happen!
